Travelling is stressful. Some of that stress is positive: excitement, anticipation, the wow factor. Even though these are positive experiences they are still all stressors because they cause us to burn energy in order maintain a sense of balance and be at our functional best.
But let’s face it…
Some of the stress around travel is negative too — challenges such as unfamiliar or uncertain situations and, sometimes unexpected mishaps. No matter how well we plan, travel stress is going to happen.
