Becoming a Self-Reg Haven, doesn’t happen in a week or a month. It’s an ongoing process of learning, trial and error, re-evaluation, reflection, planning, and learning from experience. RADAR is an acronym we use at The MEHRIT Centre as the name of our planning process that guides people in the process of becoming a Self-Reg Haven, an environment where everyone feels safe in every way: physically, emotionally, socially and culturally.
RADAR: Reflect, Analyze, Design, Activate, and Respond
RADAR is a five-stage process that helps you with all of that, while informing your evaluation and decision-making. Our tool offers step-by-step questions for each stage of the process. It will help you tell where you are at on your journey, what’s working well, what’s not working so well, and what steps you can take to further your journey.
