The Road Less Travelled

wood panels in rainbow ordered colours

Poem by Arlene Jachak a Foundations Certificate Program Learner

I am yelling, you don’t hear what I say,

I like my things in rainbow order, that’s just how I play.

Some things don’t make sense, even to me,

I’m not doing this on purpose, if only you could see!

My head is spinning, around and around,

I need you to help get my feet on the ground!

That feeling of peace is so hard to find,

Sometimes I make you crazy, but you don’t seem to mind!

You ask the questions, nobody seems to ask,

Why this? Why now? You can see that things that don’t live in the past!

I’m fighting a battle, nobody can see,

But I know that you believe that there is more to me!

I am a child who has been waiting for you,

To stop, to listen and be someone I can hold on to!

Thank you for searching for answers out there,

Together we will travel, who knows where…..
