Not an anit-bully program - It's Better
It was the most enlightening view on “bullying” I have studied. I have studied behvaviour and psychology and this program built on my current knowledge and gave me a far more comprehensive and genuine understanding on the subject. It’s not an anti-bullying program, it’s a program on facilitating empathy and connections. A program on understanding, compassion and the true power of self and co-regulation. It teaches you the science and the setting events to bullying. It shows you what I feel many probably have known deep inside. “There is no such thing as a bad child” as bullying is actually a stress behaviour. It opens your eyes to the fact that anyone’s child can resort to bullying when they feel stressed and unbalanced. My favourite Stuart Shanker quote, “See a child differently, see a different child”
Pleasant and very helpful
I know that this course Re-Framing bullying a long with Self-Reg are a power full tool for Educators as well as parents. A person can really learn a lot about themselves and deal with their jobs in a much better way. This will be the tools to success for educators as well as parents, for I believe that these two courses have helped me be a better and more patient person and I can see bullying in a whole new way. I can come up with better plans too help the children and understand them so much better. As Stuart Shanker said see a person or child in a different way, you will see a different person or child.
Pleasant and very helpful
I found my learning along with Stuart and Susan as well as the facilitators to be a wonderful experience and very helpful to myself as an E.C.E as well as the way I conduct myself now. I’ve learned a great deal about myself and how to self-regulate. To see things and people in a different way there for seeing different visions of people . Seeing the good and having a better understanding in the Children and adults that I work with. I’ve always believed that there is no such thing as a bad child, only misunderstood or un heard. Though this course I can truly say that I have grown and have a better out look on the work that I do for the children, I have put a lot of what I have learned into practice already seeing great response and happy children and a happier team. The course facilitators helped me when I had a problem and made it easy for me to complete and continue my education. I have learnt so much and can help others in a better way due to my self-reg.
New Science!
This course was fantastic. The MEHRIT Centre introduces you to new science surrounding the brain and what may be the underlying cause of the bullying epidemic. This information is what we need to formulate a plan to start addressing the lack of empathy the permeates our schools and communities.
TMC did it again!
I have been learning about self-reg from TMC since 2016 and this course took my understanding of behaviour to yet again a whole new level. Understanding the behaviour of a bully from a self-reg/brain based perspective had me constantly making connections to my work as an elementary school principal as well as a father. I can’t help but believe if I can share this learning with my staff, parents and students that we will have a much more compassionate school community where we actually stamp out bullying.
