I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to complete this course through my Board. They are doing a great service to the children in our classrooms by giving us ECE;s the tools we need to better regulate ourselves and to show the children how to manage their stress and stay in balance so they can learn to their highest potential. The information shared within the cohort and the insight from everyone was eye-opening. There are many wonderful educators out there that are going to make a great difference in the lives of children and their families. A key point that I take away from this course is, children cannot learn when they are stressed. They need to be in a state of calm, balance, and so do we.
A Journey Worth Taking
This ECE Self Reg course will having you seeing children differently as well as yourself. You will forever view children’s behavior through a different lens. I encourage all ECEs to take this course. As you learn the science behind Self Reg, you will find your perceptions of and your relationships with children, parents, co-workers, and family will transform. We all have a story as a child where we felt someone labeled us or misinterpreted our behavior. By taking Self Reg, you have the opportunity to change the cycle and instead help a child understand his/her behavior and stressors as well as learn how to regulate it.

Thank you, this course has brought so much light to my career. I have learned so much over the 12 weeks that I’m excited to continue learning. I believe that every ECE should take this course. I have brought more love to my teaching and see every child and family with softer eyes. I look at every situation in a different way and I’m always asking myself “WHY’. Why is the child behaving this way or that way. Thank you again to Stuart and Susan!!!! I would highly recommend this course and it really doesn’t take that much time out of your week.
