I feel this course has changed the way I work and also in my home life, I have learnt how to self regulate my self and my children I have learned about stress and what signs to look for and how things can be very stressful for some children even if you think it’s silly and not a stressor. I look at things in a totally different way in a much more positive way. I stop and think where before I might have labeled or judged a child not I ask the why’s and try and find the answer. Anyway I feel this course would be wonderful for all teachers and ece’s it really makes you understand the children you care for in a much deeper level.

I’m not sure where to begin or am even confident that what I have to say will do justice to the gratitude I feel that there are people like Stuart and Susan in this world who have taken an idea, and turned it into a movement. This Early Childhood Development Course has changed my world. Since the beginning of my Self Reg journey, (which began in my classroom before I had any idea I would be part of such an amazing learning experience) I have learned so much in regards to “the behind the scenes science” of Self Reg, brain development, theories, experiences and insights. All of which have led to me making changes in all aspects of my personal life and my professional calling. I have been dedicated to changing the lives of children in this world for the better for many many years. It was truly a gift to be part of such a like minded and like hearted group of dedicated educators. I feel very blessed and honoured to have been part of this first cohort of passionate people who are committed to making life the best it can be for little people and those who support them in our world.

As I began this course I didn’t know what to expect. Along this three month journey not only did I receive and incredible amount of knowledge, I also received an incredible amount of validation. This course is specifically designed for Early Childhood Educators and I am here to tell you it was life changing. I have been a professional ECE for over 25 years and I feel like this was everything I needed to reignite my passion as an ECE. This program validates and respects the importance of the role of the ECE, in whatever space, like no other. It provides you with concrete understandings, through the science of self reg, as well as digging deep as a reflective practitioner in a safe, professionally vulnerable space. It tells us, we as ECEs really matter. There was so much support and feedback throughout the three months. You get to know the people in the course even though you are countries away. Now that I have completed this course, the way I view the whole child and practice has shifted in a positive way. I feel so open minded and am able to observe children with soft eyes, from an authentic growth mindset. I am able to move beyond the expectations and controls society and others, have placed on our youngest learners and advocate for them, as well as, the so very important ECEs in their spaces. I have a confidence that is supported by science. I am thrilled to continue this journey and share my passion for young children through a Self Reg lense. You need this in your life 🙂

This course is a must for all early childhood educators. The course helps to develop a growth mindset and gives you understanding on the science behind self-regulation. Until you continue to learn about stress behaviour, red brain/blue brain balance you can never truly focus on the whole the child. It assists you with understanding patterns and Deterministic thinking which is key to laying the foundation for self-regulation.

It doesn’t matter if you are a new or experienced RECE (or working with children in any capacity) this is the course for you. I learned so much in this very casual, professional no stress way. I have talked and talked about the learning I have received and will continue to use and remember for the rest of my career and life. Stuart and Susan are very knowledgeable and relate the practice to real stories which helps with any learning style. It fits into any busy schedule and is truly a perfect way to learn. I will be forever grateful for what I have learned. Some I knew and it reaffirmed for me that I was doing the right thing and other things were completely a new perspective.
