Self-Reg In 60 Seconds: The Emotion Domain

emotion domain, red and blue paint on a canvas

This short video explores one of the most talked-about areas of stress: the emotion domain. We often think of emotion-based stress in terms of big “negative” feelings—and while important, Self-Reg invites us to look a little deeper. Emotion stress doesn’t exist on its own; it’s closely connected to other domains, especially the biological, and these stresses can build on each other in powerful ways.

What makes this video especially meaningful is the reminder that emotion stress isn’t always a bad thing. There are positive emotion stresses, too—experiences that stretch us, help us grow, and support emotional development.
